Social Disease

Diversity, Inequality, Discrimination and Racism. Different Names but they all hover around the same thing. which is being different.

Racism is a short word with a long history throughout the world. it evolved from simple differences between humans till it reached its shape in the latest centuries. and the most simple definition of Racism is to believe that a race is superior to another race. And while there are many differences among us, we're also very much alike.

Racism Differs too, I mean that it's different from someone to another. for some people it depends on the skin color or nationality, for others it's the sexual-orientation, for others it's the football or soccer team that they root for.

When I was in the first grade we had a very VERY dark skinned guy (AKA Black). I was Seriously scared of him and disgusted to even touch him ( I Was 6 years old, Sue Me. ) why? Because he was different. Later On I found out that he was actually like me and we're not so different. Nowadays he's my somewhat Best Friend.

So, "Don't Judge A Book By Its Title" ? maybe? Sadly here in Kuwait and I'm sure in other countries some people look down to others. just because S/He Is Different. As An Example The Maid Or The Driver. They are NOT slaves you know. they are human beings. just like you. but the difference is that they left their homes, families and everything, to come and serve you in order to have money and live a better life. another saying we have here or among the people I know when someone does something stupid they say " What Are You? An Indian? " that's TOTALLY Racist. Indians Aren't Stupid! Actually some of the greatest minds and most intelligent people are Indians.

An OTHER Discrimination Between us is the "I'm Sunni" "I'm She'ee" thing which are some "Branches" in Islam. instead of fighting each other we should focus on the greater cause! which is being there for the country.
Rosa Parks  for example was the one who began the fight against Racism in USA just because she refused to give her seat on a bus to a white guy. Harvey Milk was the first openly gay man to be elected to public office. and of course the famous Dr. Martin Luther King. (Click On Each Name In Order To Know More)
I can go on and on and on about this topic because it will never end. but we can fight it, reduce it and try our best to stop spreading it.

"Racism isn't born, folks, it's taught.  I have a two-year-old son.  You know what he hates?  Naps!  End of list."  ~Dennis Leary

Finally I just wanna say What I meant by the pic in this post, "No Matter Who You Are, Male or Female, Gay Or Straight, Muslim Or Christian, Sunni Or She'ee. We Are All Humans In The End. Each Of Us Is Part Of The Bigger Picture. Yes We Might Be In Different Colors But We Paint The Painting. And Racism Is Just A Block In The Way. We Are Who We Are."
